Semi-Precious Memories

Bob Dylan’s Semi-Precious Memories collection was the work of a fan who goes by the name Marcel. This compilation is a huge "thank you" to everyone who has ever sent him a disc. Altogether there are supposed to be eight volumes in the initial offer. To date six volumes [or 12CDs] have so far been shared on the internet.

The music is a collection of songs rarely performed by Dylan and selected on the strength of performance and sound quality. In some cases, Marcel has noted the first time the song was played and the last time in recent years. This is quite a career-spanning compilation and well worth the effort to seek.

The eight volumes will contain almost every song Dylan has performed live more than once but less than 10 times. There will be two versions of each song, on separate volumes.

Vol 1 contains two disks with 33 songs.

Vol 2 will contain alterate versions of the same 33 songs sorted in chronological order.

Vol 3&4 will be sister sets. Vol 5&6 the same. And Vol 7&8.

All told it will contain over 130 unique songs.
