The Planet Earth
Rock And Roll Orchestra [Perro]

Cover for the four-CD set

When the Crosby, Stills & Nash boxset was being assembled in 1991, a cache of tapes were discovered that contained the recordings of what was then called The Planet Earth Rock And Roll Orchestra [PERRO]. This celestial super group consisted of the backbone of the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and Crosby, Stills & Nash. The recordings were made in 1971 at Wally Heider’s studio. We now have the 4CD set as assembled by producer Stephen Barncard and a 2CD set from a later session that was the basis of David Crosby’s debut solo album, If Only I Could Remember My Name.
