REVIEW
PINK FLOYD An excellent audience recording captures the Radio City entire show, from the opening fission of "Obscured By Clouds," a magnificent "Set The Controls," replete with a rarely heard mini-Moog, and onto extended trips through "Careful With That Ace, Eugene" and a truly memorable "Echoes," before sliding into Dark Side Of The Moon. Its the kind of set list that should peg this among the best of all Floyd boots, and it would, but for one thing. Disc Two (that is, the whole of Dark Side, plus "One Of These Days" and "Saucerful Of Secrets") seems to play just a shade too fast. Its still eminently listenable, of course, but it is a little disappointing. As for the two tracks claiming to hail from Paris, 1968, "Let There Be More Light" and "Flaming" are both solidly excellent, but some doubt has been cast on their true provenance. - Dave Thompson ![]() For more... email singbigo@singnet.com.sg with the message, "Put me on your mailing list."
