The Band - Woodstock [Homer Entertainment Network 1CD Torrent: 54360]
live at Yasgurs Farm, Sunday, Aug 17, 1969 at 10:30 pm. "Long
Black Veil" and "The Weight" appeared on the Woodstock 25th anniversay
box set and have been removed from my copy. There was a previous
version of this that came out in 2000, but the sound quality of
this recording is dramatically improved. For whatever reason, Robbie
Robertson's microphone being turned on the most prevelant, this
was never released on the original Woodstock album nor was any of
the music used in the movie. However "The Weight" was used in the
"Woodstock: The Lost Performances" video released some years ago.
As a result of this, some never even knew The Band played Woodstock,
and for those that did few ever got to hear anything until the box
set. Ex SBD stereo. Artwork shows where you can insert the official
tracks to get the complete show.

Cream - A Group called CREAM [Doc´s Vinyl Box Vol. 3 1CD Torrent:
54645] live at Klooks Kleek, London, November 1966. Taken from Dutch
vinyl boot on Viktorie Label. Lineage: Vinyl - Thorens TD 126 MK3-Goldring

138]
John Coltrane/Stan Getz - JATP Tour 1960 [no label 1CD Torrent:
54540] live in Dusseldorf, Germany, Mar 28, 1960. This is a sensational
tape - perhaps not as sensational as the Monk/Trane 1957 Carnegie
Hall - but then again: perhaps even more sensational: This includes
the only documented performance by Trane and Getz together! The
band are John Coltrane,ts; Stan Getz,ts[t4-5]; Wynton Kelly,p[t1-4];
Oscar Peterson,p[t5]; Paul Chambers,b and Jimmy Cobb,dr. Essentially
this was the Miles Davis Quintet but Miles was ill on this date
and Stan Getz sat in for him! Ex FM/ SBD? stereo. Nice and easy.
139]
Coldplay - Riverbend Music Center 2005 [no label 2CD Torrent: 54452]
live in Cincinnati OH, Aug 9, 2005. Broadcast live over the radio
by New Rock 97.3 WAZQ FM in Cincinnati, hosted by Jimmy The Weasel.
Pioneer AV Receiver>Canon ZR40 miniDV>Firewire>Sony Vegas>Flac
Frontend. Alas this recording is not as pristine as its lineage
suggests. Seems the stations transmission may not have been
powerful so there are issues with sound quality eg slightly muffled
here and there and distortion. But the revelation is that Coldplays
shows are heavily supported by pre-recorded sounds although all
individual instruments are live as are the vocals but "backing
parts" were pre-recorded. The group must play within a set
pattern. Hence the conclusion is that if youve seen one Coldplay
show, youve seen them all. In this case, if youve heard
one, youve heard them all. Ex- FM stereo.

Danielson Famile - Bloomington fest 2001 [no label 1CD Torrent:

about this one is that it was recorded by Jorma Kaukonen himself.
I don't know weither it's true or not, but I know the sound quality
is awsome and the band is blazing on this recording, especially
Janis!" VG+ AUD stereo.
142]
Joy Division - University of London 80 [Factus ULU 80 1CD

Elvis Presley - Crazy The Funny Side of Elvis [no label 1CD Torrent:
67767] "A collection of Elvis' hilarious, often spaced out
talking in between songs from the concert years. Let's remember
that Elvis' own record label put out an album like this (called
Having Fun With Elvis On Stage) while Elvis was still alive(!).
And they were following the example set by Elvis' own manager who
had put the album out first on his own label. However, those releases
sort of cleaned everything up and hid the fact that Elvis was pretty
bonkers most of the time (listening to it, Elvis stage patter sounds
as dull & flat as any other Vegas act and you simply question
the sanity of the people who would release an item like Having Fun
With Elvis On Stage). But this Crazy disc shows it all, weird funny
stream of consciousness ramblings from someone truly losing a grip."
Mostly Ex SBD stereo. MP3 SOURCED NOT FOR TRADE.
147]
The Pandoras - The Unreleased Live Album [no label 1CD Torrent #67852]
live at Iguana's, Tijuana, Mexico, June 10, 1989. "A 4-track
recording, said to be recorded and mixed by Mike Fey. The Pandoras
had intended this to be their live album, but withdrew it after
guitarist Billi Jo Hash and the band parted ways. They released
"Live Nymphomania" instead, a recording of the four-piece lineup
live in Dallas, Texas. Billi Jo was eventually replaced with Lisa
Belltri." The band were Paula Pierce-guitar & vocals (6/23/60-8/10/91);
Kim Shattuck-bass & vocals; Billi Jo Hash-guitar; Melanie Vammen-keyboards
& vocals; Sheri Kaplan-drums & vocals. Ex SBD stereo.

The Rolling Stones - Keep Your Pussies Clean [Dandelion 1CD Torrent:
67213] live at the Ahoy Hall in Rotterdam, Holland, Oct 13-14 1973.
Tks 1 - 6 are from October 14 (first show), & 7 - 15 are from
October 13. Not included in this torrent is Disc 2 (poor quality
Quicktime movies). "This Dandelion release was plagued with
production problems. My silver discs came with flaws. I have traded
with 5 other people ( to get copies of their silver pressed discs),
but all had the same problems. All of the "Goat's Head Soup material
had digi-noise and skips. YCAGWYW, All Down The Line, and Rip This
Joint had flaws as well.
"Recently,
I bought a CDr copy (of a silver pressed disc) from someone else,
and although it too had the same problems, they were subtler, so
I EAC'ed that CDr and went to work on the WAV files.
"Then
I tried using a "vinyl restoration" program, and after many setting
adjustments, it worked. So here is the clean version of this wonderful
recording." VG AUD stereo.

Carlos Santana: Guitar, Percussion, Vocals, Marcus Malone: Percussion,
David Brown: Bass, Gregg Rolie: Keyboards, Vocals & Bob "Doc"

out or eq'd, but there were lots of dropouts - mostly in just one
of the channels. Since this is basically a mono mix, the dropouts
and levels changes could be almost entirely eliminated - either
by pasting in from the good channel or with manual level adjustments
in Pro Tools. The finished result is very clean sounding overall.
This version is less cut up and better sound quality than the previous."

TX March 16, 1995. Ex SBD mono except for Tk 1 which is an audience
recording. Tks 9-12 Studios of KGSR, Bastrop, TX March 17, 1995.
Ex FM stereo. "In the interminable wait for Lucinda's breakthrough
masterpiece, Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, she played annually at
SXSW, debuting material that would eventually appear on the album
as far back as 1994. In 1995, she took the stage fully convinced
that the album was nearly done, though it would take almost three
years and two additional production teams to finish the effort.
But on this night, Lucinda, Gurf Morlix and the band, joined by
Ian McLagan on keyboards, played seven songs from the as-yet-unreleased
album; the following day, Lu and Gurf went to KGSR, played another
three and talked about the record and the show the night before.
For my money these performances, especially songs like "Car Wheels"
that feature McLagan, are nothing short of brilliant and some of
these have never sounded fresher or, arguably, better." Fan
compilation that circulates as Junebug VS Hurricane but includes
Williams appearances in 1994 and 1996. This edition is of the 1995

Buckingham Nicks - Coffee Plant Demos [no label 1CD Torrent: 56389]
These are Buckingham Nicks demos c. 1970-1974. "They are called
the "coffee plant demos" because Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks
used to record in the basement of Lindsey's father's coffee plant
before they went to LA to get a record deal. However, I feel that
it is a bit of a misnomer because we know Sorcerer and Garbo were
written after the couple arrived in LA. Regardless, these are wonderful
quality demos. While some of these were released later by Stevie
or Fleetwood Mac, the gem Without You, the aptly named Cathouse
Blues, and the quaint Goldfish and the Ladybug never made it off
the shelf. Authorship is not documented in those cases, but although
Without You may have been co-written, it is safe to say the others
were penned by Stevie Nicks." These are the various vocal,
instrumental tracks prior to mixing. Ex SBD mono?

Jimi Hendrix - Talent & Feeling Vol 1&2 [EXR 2CD bootcity
20326, 3878] CD1 "Talent & Feeling Vol.1" is a nice collection
of studio outtakes and demos. Some "Band Of Gypsys" material, "Cry
Of Love songs" plus jams. A couple would end up in butchered form
on Crash Landing. One of the highlights is blues jam "The Things
I Used To Do", featuring Johnny Winter on slide guitar, Steven Stills
on bass, and Dallas Taylor on drums. Another is "Peace In Mississippi".
Some fierce and angry guitar playing there. "You And Me Blues" has
appeared under the "Lord I Sing The Blues" title before, but here
it is in more complete form. Jam With Piano And Trumpet is another
circa 1970. "Little Drummer Boy" has appeared on many CDs too. It's
the BOG rehearsal version with choir added after 1970." CD
2 is the raw studio sessions that later became the Crash Landing
album. Mostly Ex SBD stereo.

Jimi Hendrix - Freak Out Blues [no label 1CD bootcity Torrent 20366]
"Freak Out Blues features jams mostly with the Band Of Gypsys
lineup, though there are a couple of Electric Ladyland demos, and
solo stuff as well. Starting with an small sound byte by Jimi, explaining
what his new album (Axis:Bold As Love) is all about, it then goes
into a solo version of Midnight Lightning that is similiar to the
one on South Saturn Delta. Voodoo Chile, an outtake from Electric
Ladyland, is the version found on the Blues CD; Rainy Day Try Out
is an early version of another Electric Ladyland tune; Red House,
another track from the Blues and the Variations On A Theme CDs,
is here in its complete form; Bleeding Heart is Jimi solo, no vocals,
on what sounds like some of the backing guitar that would end up
on the War Heroes track of the same name. After that, the CD goes
into a number of jams featuring the Band Of Gypsys lineup, including
the full (minus Jimi explaining to Buddy how he wants the song to
start) Blue Suede Shoes jam (originally found on Loose Ends, including
the spoken comments by Jimi), and here called Police Blues."

Pink Floyd - Echoes Of The Past [ICPI-1998 1CD Torrent: 62656] live
at Sporthalle, Boblingen, Stuttgart, Germany Nov 15, 1972. This
is taken from source two of this show taped with a reel-to-reel
deck but the taper did not have enough tape for the whole show.
"A copy of this reel was distributed on tape and an nth generation
copy was finally available as "The Return Of The Sons Of Nothing"
on CD. Although an nth gen copy it became still famous for its great
sound quality and extraordinary performance. To be honest, these
are by far my favourite live versions of these three songs. The
third track on that CD was named "Looking Through The Knotholes
In Grannys Wooden Leg" because Roger announced "Echoes" that way.
"In
1998, the owner of the master reel decided to newly transfer the
master tape to his computer and create a better version. In fact,
he decided to also fix some problems, especially some whistling
and shouting of the crowd. You may decide for yourself if you like
that or not. Most notably the whistling guy at the start of "One
Of These Days" is missing. Nevertheless, this recording is even
superior to the already great "Return Of The Sons Of Nothing". Although
the show is incomplete, this is definitely a must have." Ex

7, 1977, Animals Tour. The famous show where Roger Waters invites
a fan on stage and spits at him then throws him back into the crowd.
Ex AUD stereo.
From
http://www.brain-damage.co.uk/general/montreal77.html, one concert
goer's account of what happened: "Pigs (3 Different Ones):
... As the song wound down, and they were doing a quiet vamp, Roger
became... demonic. He called into the audience and pointed at a
kid somewhere off to my right - just in front of him. He called
the kid up to the stage, like you would a dog. "Cmon boy...
come back... all is forgiven... just a bit further... theres
a good boy..." I could see an exuberant teenager climb over the
barricade and with the help of a roadie, he was lifted up to the
edge of the stage. Im sure he thought he was going to meet
his idol... until Mr. Waters let fly with a wad of spit that was
as remarkable for its volume as it was for its accuracy. "Sch-plaugh"
- right in the kids face! Dazed, the kid was tossed, like
garbage, back over the bars into the darkness."
